On the Bayou Cottages are on the bank of the Bayou Teche in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Our two Acadian cottages are filled with antique furnishings, crystal chandeliers and breezy porches with views of shady cottage gardens and lazy bayou vistas. In fact, our gardens and views have won awards at the Breaux Bridge “Blooming on the Bayou” Festival and we have won several Garden of the Month awards. Our cottages and grounds are always included in the Garden Tours and Christmas Tours held in Breaux Bridge every year.

Visitors who choose to stray from this setting can experience first hand the unique “Cajun Culture”; a picturesque setting surrounded by the music and food that can only be found in this special area of south Louisiana.

History reveals itself in The Garden Cottage. Care was taken to restore the Louisiana Cypress home’s 1920’s integrity. A mix of old-world treasures and contemporary objects are show cased against hardwood floors, giving the house its romantic charm.

The Bayou Cottage was designed by the architect/owner and mixes craftsman details with new-country style to give this bungalow a classic look that’s very refreshing and relaxed. Cathedral ceilings with exposed beams create an open, spacious feel.

Our most unique accommodation is a piece of Classic Americana! A fully restored Airstream trailer parked on the grounds. This additional lodging is great for larger groups, multiple couples or families with kids.
